My website is in the very same area of interest as yours and my visitors would definitely benefit from some of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this alright with you. Many thanks!

1) yes, replace the whole yahoo src string with yours

2) ssl will prevent the url to be read when travelling, BUT they can be logged. Either on the target server access logs or by Google Analytics for instance.

Two (hopefully) final questions:
1) I know it may sound stupid but where do I put my URL (http://www.examplewebsite.com/reporting.svc/?p=1&s=50) where: MYAPIKEY is the secure key that my account has been given, p=1 is the first page of data and s=50 is the amount of records to process into JSON and return. I have no control over the format but I checked the JSON and its well-formed. I jut dont know where to put my URL.... in place of the ENTIRE "var src" line? Or just part of it? There are two http:// thingy's in there and I dont know which one mine needs to replace. I assume http://datatables.org/alltables.env ... ?

2) Before I run my code, isnt my API key going to exposed through servers (other than the destination server that I am accessing - which I trust)? Even if its Yahoo servers, wont there be a trail of exposing my API key as the call goes through those servers with HTTP and no HTTPS ?

Thanks and sorry for these questions!

Yep, you just have now the principle. You need to adapt it to your data source, and to the HTML result you want to show.

@Mic: Thanks for the reply! I got the program running locally. It retrieves the Yahoo quotes and all. Now I am trying to figure out how to adapt it to that URL that returns my information. I suppose that I need to change the field names to match what is being returned to me?
